Andrew Vane joined Donan in 2015 as a forensic engineer based out of the firm’s Detroit, Michigan office. He has 10 years of engineering experience, and has completed approximately 400 forensic investigations. Mr. Vane has worked in the following industries: forensic engineering; naval ship design, construction and repair; and steel industrial door design and construction (steel fabrication). Mr. Vane’s areas of expertise are maritime, including steel ships, shipyards, personal watercraft, and marina facilities; steel fabrication; and heavy machinery, including cranes, anchoring and mooring winches, articulating ladders, and boat davits. His project capabilities are residential and commercial roof inspections, foundations, impact damage assessments, mold and moisture problems, and product failures, among others.
Mr. Vane is a licensed professional engineer in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
