Jim Schwarzmeier joined Donan in 2011 as a forensic engineer based out of the firm’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. He has 17 years of engineering experience, and has completed over 1000 forensic investigations. Mr. Schwarzmeier has experience in the following areas: structural analysis, and structural design for construction and renovation of residential and commercial buildings. His area of expertise is structural investigations, and his project capabilities include structural failures, water intrusion, mold origin and cause, impact damage assessments, fire damage to structures, and brick veneer attachment to buildings, among others.
Mr. Schwarzmeier is a licensed professional engineer in Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
