John Oppenheim joined Donan in 2016 as a forensic engineer based out of the firm’s Denver, Colorado office. He has 30 years of engineering experience in the following industries: civil engineering, land development engineering, transportation and environmental engineering. Mr. Oppenheim’s work experience includes construction field superintendent experience inspecting and supervising highway drainage and underground utility construction; land development work: grading, drainage, roadway, utilities, right-of-way and erosion control design using AutoCAD Civil 3D; electric power line installation coordination and engineering design review of vertical ecological laboratory tower plans and sites; field supervision of survey and geotechnical drilling work at vertical ecological laboratory tower sites throughout U.S.; field reconnaissance and evaluation of real estate for selection of lab support facility locations for tower sites across the U.S.; field installation and construction supervision of digital PCS cellular phone antenna stations throughout Colorado. Mr. Oppenheim completes a variety of projects at Donan including structural investigations for residential and commercial sites, roof inspections for residential and commercial buildings, moisture intrusion investigations, and concrete settlement and deterioration.
Mr. Oppenheim is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming and is LEED certified. He earned his Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University.
