Michael Nocton joined Donan in 2009 as a forensic engineer based out of the firm’s Knoxville, Tennessee office. He has 13 years of engineering experience and has completed approximately 1500 forensic investigations. Mr. Nocton has worked in the following industries: airport design, foundation and retaining wall design, commercial low-rise building design, forensic engineering and government building design. His areas of expertise are foundation failures, structural failures, roof inspections and water intrusion, and his project capabilities include cladding/window failures, earthquakes, mold cause and origin, flood studies, water loss/duration, and blasting damage, among others.
Mr. Nocton is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia and is a Council-Certified Fire and Smoke Damage Consultant. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
