Donan Inaugurates ’21st Century Home’

On June 6, 2016, at 10 AM, Donan officially celebrated the opening of its new headquarters at 12450 Lake Station Place, with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

It has been a little over a year since the company broke ground on the 2.7 acre lot in Blankenbaker Station II in April 2015. The 38,400 square-foot facility features state-of-the art offices, training areas and collaborative spaces for the growing Donan team.

Lyle Donan, CEO, described the building as “Donan’s 21st Century Home” and a direct result of the company’s strong Growth by Design philosophy over the past years. The corporate employees moved into the building on May 23, 2016, and the nationwide company has invited all of its 300 members from across the country to come together at a grand opening celebration that will be held in Louisville in mid-June.

In a letter to the company, Donan acknowledged the partners without whom this achievement wouldn’t have been possible. “This building is the result of the hard work of our coworkers in conjunction with the many friends who have helped us along the way: from planners from Hollenbach Oakley, architects and engineers from Luckett & Farley, and teammates from Kelley Construction, City of Louisville government, metro planners, local utilities and other public authorities, and our important partner Fifth Third Bank.”

Although the corporate headquarters have changed, the firm retains its Component Testing Laboratory building. The 60,000 square-foot facility houses the nation’s largest lab of its kind and is located on Production Drive.
